First video off Taylor Gang/Heavy Hustle artist Chevy Woods’ forthcoming mixtape “Pilot Sh*t.” Produced by Ryan Tedder and directed by Dan Meyers. Another homegrown Pittsburgh project.

You can’t deny the buzz that the Taylor Gang is gaining from the stardom of Wiz Khalifa,  Chevy Woods (his co-pilot) has been working on a new sound to go along with his new name change (Kev Tha Hustla – Chevy Woods). Be prepared for a lot of water, doobies, and b*tches…sounds like a nice video to me. (LOL)

Rostrum Records Signs Mac Miller, Preps K.I.D.S Release

Rostrum Records is proud to announce the signing of 18-year old Pittsburgh Hip-Hop artist, Mac Miller.  Over the past few years, Mac has built a devoted following by releasing the mixtapes “The High Life” and “The Jukebox”….all while finishing high school.  His presence on the Internet has grown immensely with over 500,000 views for his top 5 videos, and he’s been getting head nods from tastemakers and peers alike.
“We’re very excited to be working with Mac,” says Benjy Grinberg, President of Rostrum Records.  ”His talent, musicianship, and charisma are inspiring, and we’re looking forward to helping him reach new levels in his career.”
Mac adds, “It was only right to do this with my family.  It’s a good situation here at Rostrum, I love the team around me and I’m prepared for a very bright future.”
Mac’s first release under Rostrum will be his mixtape entitled “K.I.D.S” on August 13th, followed by his debut album in early 2011.  Below are a few links for Mac if you are not already familiar.
